Devilry and revelry

The Amorist cracked the ring mistress’s whip at Bourne & Hollingsworth’s Dark Circus Party on Halloween weekend. The Grand Hall St Pancras became a Big Top full of freakish fun-seekers watching treacherous trapeze acts and fabulous fire breathers sipping killer cocktails. She was particularly impressed with revellers’ adherence to the daring dress code: cat-suited lions mingled with Black Swans, masked minxes and sexy clowns for a flirtatious night of spooky fun and games – large cages included. In an ironic twist, everyone in the queue for the make-up counter was in full make-up. Hell, you can never have enough on Halloween.
